Calls have intensified for a comprehensive environmental assessment that examines the city’s changing ecological profile. Specialists advocate for periodic green audits, stricter preservation protocols for mature trees and stronger integration of climate considerations into development approvals. They argue that future infrastructure planning should account not only for mobility and economic efficiency but also for ecosystem services that protect public health and urban liveability.

As Thane continues to evolve into a major residential and commercial destination, balancing growth with environmental stewardship is likely to define the next phase of its urban trajectory.
