According to meteorological projections, dry northwesterly winds and intense solar heating are likely to keep daytime temperatures significantly above seasonal averages through midweek. Heatwave conditions may persist across several parts of the National Capital Region, including densely built urban clusters where concrete surfaces and limited tree cover continue to amplify localised heat retention. Officials monitoring weather systems said a cyclonic circulation over north Haryana, combined with an approaching western disturbance expected to influence the western Himalayan belt from 11 June onward, could alter conditions across north India. The interaction of these systems may trigger rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over Delhi-NCR on 12 and 13 June.
