Yeida’s Green Vision ₹75 Crore Allocated for 37 Parks Near Noida International Airport

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has unveiled an ambitious plan to bolster green infrastructure in its urban areas adjacent to the forthcoming Noida International Airport site.

With a substantial investment of ₹75 crore earmarked for this purpose, Yeida aims to develop 37 parks as part of its comprehensive urban revitalisation strategy. In a bid to enhance the liveability quotient and promote environmental sustainability, Yeida has meticulously designed these parks to cater to the diverse needs of residents and visitors alike. By integrating modern amenities and green spaces, these upcoming parks are poised to serve as vibrant community hubs, fostering social cohesion and well-being. According to an official from Yeida, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the authority has finalised the park designs and estimated project costs, signalling readiness to initiate the tendering process post the lifting of the model code of conduct. Once contractors are onboarded, the commencement of ground-level work is imminent, underscoring Yeida’s proactive approach towards timely project execution.

Moreover, emphasising the authority’s commitment to responsive governance, the official affirmed the possibility of additional funding allocation for park development in subsequent phases, if deemed necessary. This strategic foresight underscores Yeida’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of urban planning and infrastructure provision. The phased rollout of park development reflects Yeida’s pragmatic approach to resource allocation and project management. By prioritising the creation of green spaces in new urban clusters, Yeida aims to strike a balance between rapid urbanisation and ecological conservation, ensuring a sustainable trajectory for future growth.

Central to Yeida’s vision is the establishment of the largest park, Central Park, spanning 14 acres in Sector 20’s Block B, complemented by 36 smaller parks strategically dispersed across the urban landscape. This holistic approach underscores Yeida’s endeavour to foster a harmonious relationship between urban development and environmental stewardship. As the anticipated operationalisation of the Noida International Airport draws near, Yeida is steadfast in its commitment to fortify civic amenities and enhance quality of life for residents. By proactively addressing infrastructure gaps and prioritising green initiatives, Yeida sets a precedent for sustainable urban development and underscores its pivotal role in shaping the future landscape of the region.
