The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is poised to transform its operational framework through a new Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The proposed ERP solution aims to streamline a range of functions including tender management, issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and the creation of master plans, among other critical services.
The initiative marks a significant shift towards digitalisation within YEIDA, as outlined by an official from the authority. The new ERP system is set to digitise all departmental functions and services, which will enhance transparency and efficiency. “Residents’ grievances will also be managed within a defined timeframe, improving responsiveness and service quality,” the official added.
According to the RFP, the selected agency will be responsible for the complete implementation of the ERP system. This includes designing and developing a new web portal, migrating data from existing applications, and integrating various digital components such as payment gateways, digital certificate services, SMS and email gateways, and an electronic signature platform. The system will support both English and Hindi, incorporating a keyword-based search facility for ease of use.
The overarching goal of this project is to foster greater integration, transparency, and user-centricity within YEIDA. The introduction of the ERP system is expected to significantly enhance operational efficiency and service delivery across the board. The RFP was issued on August 12, with a deadline for applications set for September 9. Tender evaluations are scheduled to commence on September 11. This initiative is part of YEIDA’s broader strategy to modernise its operations and align with contemporary digital practices, setting a new benchmark for urban development authorities in the region.
