Dahod station will see enhanced passenger connectivity as Western Railway announces additional stoppages for trains operating between Bandra Terminus–Ludhiana and Mumbai Central–Shakur Basti. Officials highlight the move as part of efforts to improve commuter convenience during high-demand periods, including upcoming festivals, ensuring smoother travel across key western and central India corridors.
Western Railway authorities confirmed that train No. 09097 Bandra Terminus–Ludhiana Special will make a scheduled stop at Dahod station on 26 October 2025. The train is set to arrive at 05:25 am and depart at 05:27 am. Its return service, train No. 09098 from Ludhiana to Bandra Terminus, will halt at Dahod on 28 October 2025, arriving at 11:53 pm and departing at 11:55 pm. Officials stressed that these additional stoppages are being introduced in response to passenger demand along this important route, facilitating access to smaller towns and ensuring connectivity for festival travellers.
Similarly, the Mumbai Central–Shakur Basti service will also benefit from added stops at Dahod. Train No. 09003 departing Mumbai Central on 25 October 2025 will halt at Dahod at 5:48 pm, leaving at 5:50 pm. The return service, train No. 09004 from Shakur Basti to Mumbai Central, will stop at Dahod on 26 October 2025 at 00:31 am, departing at 00:33 am. Railway officials highlighted that these strategic stoppages are designed to accommodate increased passenger flow during festive travel periods and improve operational efficiency while minimising delays on these long-distance routes.
Experts from Western Railway’s operations division noted that Dahod station plays a crucial role as a regional transit point. Enhancing stoppages at this station will reduce overcrowding on other nearby stations and provide passengers with greater flexibility in planning their journeys. Officials also emphasised that the changes align with broader strategies to increase train accessibility while maintaining schedule integrity for long-haul services. Railway authorities confirmed that these stoppages are part of ongoing assessments aimed at optimising train schedules in high-traffic regions.
