Visakhapatnam Property Market Strengthened By Large IT And Infrastructure Investments

Visakhapatnam’s real estate sector is entering a phase of renewed momentum, spurred by large-scale investments and upgraded infrastructure across the region. Key projects, including the Google Data Centre, IT majors such as TCS and Cognizant, and the planned Aviation City, are expected to catalyse demand, according to CREDAI Visakhapatnam Chairman V. Dharmender. The 11th CREDAI Property Expo, scheduled from December 19 to 21, will serve as a platform to leverage this positive market sentiment and connect buyers with verified projects.

Industry experts note that the North Andhra region is undergoing a structural shift from outward migration to becoming an attractive hub for skilled professionals. Enhanced connectivity, upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport, and Visakhapatnam’s designation as the headquarters of the Regional Economic Zone are contributing factors. “This growth aligns with broader state initiatives under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, supporting balanced expansion across infrastructure, tourism, and clean industries,” Dharmender added. CREDAI Visakhapatnam President E. Ashok Kumar highlighted that development activity has accelerated under the NDA government’s tenure, particularly in sectors backed by government support and private investment. “The property expo will provide prospective buyers with verified options in a single venue, empowering price-conscious customers to make informed decisions,” he explained.

The event aims to bridge the gap between urban planning ambitions and citizens’ access to quality housing, reflecting a growing emphasis on inclusivity and sustainability in city development. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana is set to inaugurate the expo on December 19, while Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh will preside over the valedictory function on December 21. CREDAI honorary secretary V. Sreenu emphasised that the annual expo now represents a consolidated showcase of the builder community’s capacity, supported by government initiatives that enhance construction sector resilience. Organisers report that the 11th edition will feature 71 stalls spanning diverse real estate categories, with banks and financial institutions offering on-the-spot approvals. As part of corporate social responsibility initiatives, spaces have been allocated to Andhra University’s Architecture Department, ISKCON, Apollo Hospitals, and GITAM, integrating educational, cultural, and social dimensions into the event.

An industry analyst noted that such expos play a critical role in fostering transparency, enabling buyers to evaluate sustainable projects, and encouraging developers to adhere to green building practices. With strategic investments and policy support converging, Visakhapatnam’s real estate ecosystem is well-positioned to sustain growth while contributing to equitable urban development.
