The Vande Bharat Express will soon strengthen railway connectivity between Lucknow and Bihar’s Chhapra, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable travel experience. Announced by railway officials, this special train service will operate six days a week, barring Tuesdays, and is designed to cater to the growing demand for efficient intercity transport. With its scheduled launch on March 27, the service aims to provide seamless connectivity while reducing travel time between the two key cities.According to railway officials, the special Vande Bharat Express will run from March 27 to April 26, covering a total of 27 trips in each direction. The train will depart from Lucknow Junction at 14:15 and reach Chhapra Junction at 21:30.
On the return journey, it will leave Chhapra at 23:00 and arrive in Lucknow at 06:30 the next morning. This schedule has been designed to optimise travel time and provide convenience for passengers commuting between the two states.The train will have scheduled halts at key stations, including Sultanpur Junction, Varanasi Junction, Ghazipur City, and Suremanpur. These stops are expected to facilitate smooth passenger movement and cater to high-demand routes. The decision to introduce this service follows a growing demand for improved railway infrastructure between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, with officials acknowledging the necessity for efficient transport solutions.Officials have confirmed that the train will feature two classes of seating AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car ensuring a premium travel experience. Ticket fares for the Lucknow Chhapra route have been set at Rs 1,780 for AC Chair Car and Rs 3,125 for Executive Chair Car. The introduction of this service is expected to enhance regional connectivity while promoting ease of travel for business and leisure passengers alike.
