A thoughtfully designed twin home in Bengaluru, built by two IT-engineer brothers who wanted to live side by side as one family, is winning hearts online for its spacious layout, airy interiors and understated modern design.
The bungalow was recently featured in a home tour shared by food and travel vlogger Shiva Rai on Instagram on December 4, 2025. Built by Build A Home Construction, the residence combines two adjacent plots into a single, cohesive structure that looks like one modern home from the outside but functions as two well-planned living units inside. “Two 30×40 sites… combined into a 2,460 sq.ft twin house in Bangalore,” Shiva wrote in the caption. “From the outside, it looks like a single modern home, but inside, it’s two perfectly planned units sharing the same vision.” Designed for brothers who wanted proximity without compromising on privacy, the home merges simplicity with smart spatial planning. Each family has its own unit, yet the layout allows easy interaction and shared spaces reflecting the idea of living together while maintaining independence.
The tour begins at the parking area, which subtly introduces the twin-house concept. From there, viewers are led into one of the 4BHK units, with the second home attached seamlessly next to it. “This is the way to my dream house. Please welcome,” the homeowner says during the walkthrough, as natural light floods the interiors. The living room is one of the standout spaces, featuring double-height ceilings that allow ample sunlight and enhance the feeling of openness. The neutral colour palette and clean lines add to the calm, clutter-free aesthetic. The home includes an open-plan kitchen, a pooja room, a small office-cum-bedroom, and a master bedroom with a cosy bay window, creating a balance between functionality and comfort. Each child’s bedroom is designed with care, complete with an attached bathroom and dressing area, ensuring privacy for every family member. A connecting hallway and bridge link the two homes, allowing the brothers’ families to stay connected without sacrificing personal space. The upper floor houses a guest room and utility area, making the home equally suited for everyday living and hosting extended family.
When asked about the construction process, the homeowners simply noted that the house was planned with equal emphasis on aesthetics, practicality and long-term comfort. This Bengaluru twin home stands as a compelling example of how thoughtful design and smart layouts can transform two adjacent plots into a harmonious, modern living space one that truly puts family first.
