With aimed at bolstering rail connectivity between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the Indian Railways has announced the impending launch of a third Vande Bharat Express on this route.
This new iteration of the Vande Bharat Express promises a host of enhanced features and facilities, ensuring a more comfortable and efficient journey for passengers. The revamped Vande Bharat Express incorporates state-of-the-art technology to elevate safety standards and passenger comfort. Notable improvements include upgraded seating arrangements, enhanced air-conditioning systems, and advanced safety features, all aimed at delivering a secure and enjoyable travel experience. Manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, the new Vande Bharat Express boasts impressive speed capabilities, with a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour. What sets it apart is its remarkable acceleration, capable of reaching this high speed in just 140 seconds or under 3 minutes. This enhanced speed profile translates to a significant reduction in travel time, making journeys between Mumbai and Ahmedabad more time-efficient.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express is poised to complete its journey in approximately 5 hours and 25 minutes, slashing travel time by around 45 minutes compared to previous versions. Operating six days a week, except Sundays, the train will offer commuters a convenient and swift mode of transportation between these two bustling cities. Scheduled stops along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route include key cities such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Borivali, and Mumbai Central. These strategic stoppages ensure efficient connectivity and accessibility for passengers traveling to and from various destinations along the route.
While the official launch date is yet to be announced by the Railways, it is anticipated that the new Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express will commence operations soon, following the successful completion of final trials and safety tests.
