Thane residents should prepare for a 24-hour water supply disruption starting Tuesday, July 22, 2025. This interruption is due to essential maintenance work scheduled at the Shahad Raw Water Pumping Station. The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company MSEDCL will be carrying out crucial meter replacement and pipeline leakage repairs, necessitating a complete shutdown of the pumping station.
Consequently, the water supply from the STEM authority to the Thane Municipal Corporation will be suspended from 9:00 AM on Tuesday until 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. To mitigate the impact, the Thane Municipal Corporation has devised a plan for a phased, once a day water supply using its own available water sources.
