This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Air India’s trajectory, aiming to bolster its operational capabilities and service offerings in the burgeoning Indian aviation sector. Air India and SIAEC have formed a partnership to provide a wide range of services. This partnership includes planning, construction, development, and the operation of base maintenance facilities. These facilities are expected to be operational by 2026 and are designed to cater to the maintenance needs of both widebody and narrowbody aircraft in the Air India Group’s extensive fleet, which includes Boeing and Airbus aircraft. SIA Engineering Company, which is a division of Singapore Airlines Engineering, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table and is poised to transform Air India’s maintenance ecosystem.
