SAMHI Hotels Limited, a leading player in India’s branded hotel ownership and asset management sector, has reported a robust financial performance for the quarter ending 30 June 2024. The company’s unaudited financial results reveal a consolidated EBITDA of Rs934 million, reflecting a strong operational performance and strategic growth initiatives.
For the quarter under review, SAMHI Hotels achieved a total revenue of Rs2,568 million. This performance is underscored by a 13.0% year-on-year increase in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR), highlighting the sustained strength in core markets and growing demand drivers. The company’s ability to drive RevPAR growth demonstrates the effectiveness of its strategic initiatives and market positioning. Chairman & Managing Director of SAMHI Hotels, in his commentary, noted that the integration of ACIC, a recent acquisition, has been progressing smoothly. This integration has contributed to a significant improvement in profit margins, with a 520 basis points enhancement in the first quarter of FY25 compared to the pre-acquisition period. The rebranding of two ACIC hotels is underway, expected to significantly bolster their contribution to SAMHI’s overall performance.
The company is also well-positioned financially, with a strong liquidity position and healthy free cash flows from operations in FY25. This financial strength provides SAMHI with the flexibility to pursue both internal growth opportunities and potential external acquisitions. The ongoing expansion of the existing portfolio, coupled with the opening of new hotels, renovations, and rebranding efforts, reinforces SAMHI’s positive growth trajectory. The strategic focus on enhancing the quality of its assets, coupled with a robust pipeline in key markets, underscores SAMHI Hotels’ commitment to driving sustainable growth. The company’s strong performance in Q1 FY25 is a testament to its effective management and strategic foresight, positioning it favourably for continued success in the upcoming quarters.
