Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has launched a state-of-the-art general aviation terminal catering to private jet owners and users of chartered flights. This new facility, strategically positioned adjacent to the main terminal, is designed to elevate the travel experience for high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients seeking privacy and luxury in their air travel.
The newly inaugurated terminal spans 11,234 square feet and features an architectural design that harmoniously blends classical elements with Indo-Saracenic and Indo-Gothic styles. It boasts a private entrance and dedicated car park, enhancing convenience for its elite clientele. The terminal is equipped with an array of premium amenities, including multiple lounges, segregated arrival and departure corridors, and comprehensive check-in, emigration, and immigration facilities. The design aims to provide an exclusive and seamless travel experience, reflecting Hyderabad’s status as a significant economic hub with a high concentration of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and thriving industries.
GMR Hyderabad Airport’s CEO, Pradeep Panicker, highlighted the terminal’s strategic importance, noting that Hyderabad’s growing economic stature, particularly in sectors like pharmaceuticals and IT, has led to increased private jet movements. The new facility is expected to cater to the rising demand from frequent travellers and multinational corporations establishing global capability centres in the region. The terminal’s luxury offerings include chauffeur services directly to the aircraft, ensuring a high level of convenience and comfort for business-class passengers.
The addition of this premium terminal at RGIA represents a significant enhancement to the airport’s service offerings, catering to the sophisticated needs of private jet users and charter flight passengers. By providing a dedicated, luxurious space for high-net-worth individuals and business travellers, RGIA is set to strengthen its position as a key player in the regional and international aviation markets. This development not only underscores Hyderabad’s economic growth but also aligns with the airport’s commitment to delivering exceptional service standards.
