This milestone generated a total revenue of ₹2,415,693, marking the highest ridership since its inception. Line 1 (PCMC-District Court) and Line 2 (Vanaz to Ramwadi) accounted for 83,426 and 116,011 passengers, respectively, underscoring the growing trust and preference of Pune’s populace for this efficient mode of transportation.
The PCMC Metro Station recorded the highest footfall with 19,919 passengers, followed by PMC (18,079), Shivajinagar (17,046), Pune Railway Station (15,378), and Ramwadi (14,770). Notably, 51,026 passengers utilised the District Court interchange station, reflecting the strategic significance of this junction in the metro network.Prior to this achievement, the highest ridership was recorded on August 15, 2023, with 168,012 passengers. Line 1 saw its peak ridership on June 16, 2024, with 36,932 passengers, while Line 2 achieved its highest on June 25, 2024, with 64,378 passengers. These statistics illustrate a consistent increase in the metro’s usage, affirming the public’s confidence in Pune Metro’s service reliability.The success of Pune Metro is further demonstrated by the substantial sales of the NCMC Maha Card and Student Maha Card, with 39,025 and 10,522 cards sold, respectively. On the record-setting day, the top 10 stations in terms of ridership included PCMC, PMC, Shivaji Nagar, Pune Railway Station, Ramwadi, District Court, Vanaz, Deccan Gymkhana, Nal Stop, and Bhosari.
