Officials overseeing the project indicate that construction work at both sites has crossed the final stages, with the majority of structural development and ground preparation already completed. Once operational, the venues are expected to provide year-round playing facilities and organised spectator areas, potentially strengthening the city region’s emerging sports ecosystem. One of the facilities is being developed in Sector 3, where a compact football field has been constructed alongside additional indoor sports amenities. Officials familiar with the progress say that groundwork, turf installation and auxiliary structures have largely been completed, bringing the arena close to operational readiness.
The second and larger venue, located in Sector 12, has been designed as a full-scale football ground that adheres to international playing dimensions. The arena incorporates spectator seating for several hundred visitors, as well as a modern drainage network intended to prevent water accumulation during heavy rainfall. Such systems allow artificial turf grounds to remain playable throughout the monsoon season, a crucial feature for sports infrastructure in western India’s climate.
