The Central Railway orchestrated a pre-inauguration program at the historic Byculla Railway Station in Mumbai, where Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais presided over the proceedings. Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister, Governor Bais acknowledged the inclusion of 56 railway stations, 192 over bridges, and underground passes in Maharashtra as part of this ambitious renovation initiative. Governor Bais took a moment to commend the railways for its decade-long commitment to connecting every state and district in India through rail networks. He underscored the pivotal role of railways in fostering national unity and integration. During the ceremony, the Governor also recognised and rewarded the creative endeavours of young minds, presenting certificates to the winners of drawing and essay writing competitions.

The scope of the redevelopment project extends beyond railway stations to encompass a significant infrastructure boost with the construction of road over bridges and underground corridors. This multi-faceted approach is poised to usher in a new era of efficiency and connectivity, aligning with the Government’s relentless efforts to modernise and elevate India’s transportation infrastructure. Among the dignitaries present at the event were Guardian Minister of Mumbai Deepak Kesarkar and Ram Karan Yadav, the General Manager of Central Railway. As the nation embarks on this ambitious venture, it is poised to witness a paradigm shift in its railway landscape, fostering economic growth and ensuring seamless connectivity for its citizens. This strategic initiative reinforces the Government’s commitment to catalysing economic development through infrastructure enhancements, solidifying India’s position as a global player in the realm of efficient and modern transportation networks.
