Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced significant strides in Pune’s infrastructure development, with work officially commencing on the Ring Road and plans to extend Metro timings during the upcoming Ganeshotsav. The official commencement of the Ring Road project marks a crucial step in creating a comprehensive bypass that will significantly reduce traffic bottlenecks within the city. The development of the Ring Road, while essential for long-term urban planning, involves land acquisition, a process that can cause inconvenience to affected citizens. Pawar assured that those impacted by land acquisition would be fairly compensated, emphasising the government’s commitment to equitable development.
