Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, K. Pawan Kalyan, has issued firm directives to ensure that the ongoing development works in his constituency are completed according to schedule.
Speaking during a teleconference with officials from the Urban Development Authority (PADA), Kalyan emphasised the need for timely execution, particularly focusing on critical sectors such as water supply and law enforcement. The Deputy CM made it clear that any deviation from the set timelines would not be tolerated and that close monitoring would be implemented to ensure progress.With the summer season approaching, Kalyan urged the authorities to address the looming issue of drinking water shortages in municipalities such as Gollaprolu Nagar Panchayat and surrounding villages. The Deputy CM instructed officials to make necessary arrangements for summer storage tanks, ensuring their proper maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted water supply.
Given the pressing nature of this issue, Kalyan underscored that water supply should be prioritised to avoid inconvenience to residents.In addition to water supply, the Deputy CM raised concerns about potential misuse of funds allocated for development activities. He called for a stricter monitoring system, warning officials that any malpractices or delays in executing projects would be dealt with severely. To ensure transparency and accountability, Kalyan stated that he would personally oversee the progress of these works with weekly reviews, accompanied by dedicated inspection teams to evaluate the quality of the ongoing projects.
While Kalyan acknowledged the strides made in his constituency, he stressed that the journey towards development was continuous. The Deputy CM emphasised that complacency would not be tolerated, and the people of Pithapuram must experience consistent progress. On the subject of law and order, Kalyan requested intelligence reports on certain issues that had come to his attention, particularly with regard to local policing.
He cautioned that any police officers or staff members found indulging in corrupt practices would face stringent actions, underlining his commitment to ensuring a secure and accountable environment for the people.Kalyan’s directives reflect his determination to steer his constituency towards sustainable development, ensuring that basic amenities like water and law enforcement are efficiently addressed, while also focusing on transparency and adherence to timelines.
