Patna New Delhi Amrit Bharat Train To Begin Daily Service From July 31

The much-anticipated Patna-New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express is poised to commence its regular daily service from 31st July, marking a significant enhancement in inter-city rail connectivity. This non-air-conditioned train, the first of its kind on this crucial route and the fourth such service nationally, is designed to provide an upgraded, jerk-free travel experience for budget-conscious passengers. Its introduction promises to revolutionise affordable long-distance travel, fostering greater accessibility and economic mobility between the two major urban centres.

The Amrit Bharat Express, now available for booking on the national railway portal, offers an improved passenger experience at a marginally increased fare. Priced at ₹560 for a Sleeper Class ticket from Rajendra Nagar to New Delhi, it reflects the enhanced amenities and smoother journey quality compared to other services on the same route. This strategic pricing aims to balance affordability with a superior travel environment, making modern rail transport accessible to a wider demographic while ensuring operational sustainability. Operating daily, Train No. 22361 will depart from Rajendra Nagar Terminal at 19:45 hrs, arriving in New Delhi at 13:10 hrs the following day. For the return journey, Train No. 22362 will commence its service from New Delhi at 19:10 hrs, reaching Rajendra Nagar Terminal at 11:45 hrs the next morning.

The train will make eight scheduled halts en route, connecting key locations including Patna, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Dubedarganj, Govindpuri, and Ghaziabad, thereby serving a broad spectrum of regional travellers. The composition of the Amrit Bharat Express, featuring eight Sleeper Class coaches, eleven General coaches, two luggage-cum-brake vans, and a pantry, is meticulously designed to cater to the diverse needs of its passenger base. This configuration underscores a commitment to inclusive travel, ensuring that essential services and comfortable seating are available across various segments. The integration of a pantry car further enhances the journey experience, providing on-board refreshment options for passengers during their extended travel.
