NTPC Invites Bids To Operate Floating, Ground-Based Solar Plants

NTPC Limited, has issued a tender inviting bids for operation and maintenance (O&M) of its floating and ground-mounted solar power plants. The move is part of NTPC’s strategy to boost operational efficiency and expand its renewable energy portfolio across multiple states.

According to the tender notice, NTPC is seeking technically qualified and financially sound bidders for comprehensive O&M services that include system performance monitoring, fault rectification, equipment servicing, and overall asset management. The bid is open for solar projects located on reservoirs (floating solar) and on land (ground-mounted solar plants).

NTPC already operates some of India’s largest floating solar projects in Kerala, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh, along with ground-mounted solar plants across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. The current bidding opportunity covers multiple sites and aligns with the company’s goal of reaching 60 GW renewable energy capacity by 2032.

Interested vendors can access the bid documents via NTPC’s e-procurement portal. The deadline for online submission of tenders, site visits, and pre-bid meetings has been specified in the tender schedule. This O&M contract is expected to ensure optimal solar power generation and contribute to India’s clean energy transition.

With this initiative, NTPC continues to support India’s solar energy mission, reduce carbon emissions, and promote sustainable infrastructure development.
