Noida Authority has marked a significant milestone with the approval of a ₹1,000 crore budget for the ambitious New Noida Project, aimed at transforming a sprawling 203-square-kilometer area near Noida and Greater Noida into a cutting-edge urban hub. This initiative, part of the Master Plan 2041, underscores a strategic effort to develop an advanced urban landscape akin to international standards.
The approved budget, disbursed in its initial installment, will primarily fund crucial activities like land acquisition through a land pooling scheme. This initiative targets the conversion of approximately 14,000 hectares of agricultural land spanning 84 villages in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr into a dynamic metropolitan area. Strategically located adjacent to Dadri and Sikandrabad, New Noida will be structured into three distinct zones – North, Central, and South – ensuring balanced development and robust connectivity with neighbouring regions including Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and the upcoming Noida International Airport. This integrated approach aims to enhance accessibility and foster comprehensive urban infrastructure. The CEO of Noida Authority highlighted meticulous planning for land acquisition, emphasizing alignment with the vision set forth by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. Administrative oversight by Noida Authority will ensure efficient execution of development plans, addressing current urban limitations by introducing state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure.
A key component of the New Noida Project includes a dedicated special economic zone linking Dadri, Noida, and Ghaziabad, envisioned to catalyse industrial growth and economic activity in the region.
