Noida Airport Launches Bus Service to Dehradun, Haridwar, and More
Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) to launch a dedicated bus service linking the airport to popular destinations in Uttarakhand. Starting from the commercial opening of NIA, the seamless bus service will provide travellers with efficient transportation to key locations, including Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Haldwani.
NIA, located strategically near the Yamuna Expressway, offers excellent road access to Delhi NCR, Noida, and major hubs in Western Uttar Pradesh, making it an ideal gateway for domestic and international travellers. The addition of this bus service strengthens NIA’s vision to become a fully integrated travel hub, making it easier for passengers to travel to and from the airport while also enhancing the tourism potential in the region. Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport, spoke about the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership with Uttarakhand Transport Corporation is a key step in our mission to establish NIA as a fully integrated travel hub. By providing seamless bus connectivity to major Uttarakhand cities, we aim to facilitate tourism, foster regional economic growth, and deliver an exceptional travel experience for all passengers.”
The partnership between NIA and UTC comes at a time when the demand for regional travel is rising. Uttarakhand, known for its scenic beauty and religious significance, draws millions of tourists each year. The introduction of direct bus services from the airport to destinations like Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun is expected to encourage more visitors and provide them with easy access to these popular tourist sites. The bus service is designed to be convenient and hassle-free, with services scheduled to operate regularly from the airport, catering to both leisure and business travellers. This move will not only improve passenger experience but will also help reduce the logistical complexities that many face when travelling to these areas. The Managing Director of UTC also highlighted the benefits of the service, saying, “This collaboration will transform travel between Noida and key cities in Uttarakhand. Passengers can now rely on fast, reliable, and comfortable bus services that will significantly enhance their travel experience.”
NIA’s first phase, featuring a single runway and terminal, is expected to handle 12 million passengers annually. However, the airport has ambitious plans to expand in future phases, aiming to accommodate 70 million passengers, further solidifying its status as a regional transport hub. This expansion is poised to drive economic growth in the region and provide a significant boost to the tourism sector. With this new initiative, NIA is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of regional travel. The introduction of a bus service to Uttarakhand not only provides a convenient and affordable travel option for passengers but also supports the broader goal of enhancing connectivity between key cities and tourist destinations. As the airport continues to grow and evolve, it is set to become an increasingly important hub for both travellers and businesses alike, contributing to the overall development of the region. The launch of the bus service between Noida International Airport and major Uttarakhand destinations marks an exciting step forward for the region. The initiative promises to improve convenience for passengers while boosting tourism and economic growth, making it a significant milestone in the development of the region’s transport infrastructure.
