The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has commenced trial operations on the tunnel and underpasses along the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway, marking a significant step towards enhancing connectivity between Delhi and Gurugram.
These trial runs, initiated on Thursday, are scheduled to occur daily from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, providing a window for assessing traffic flow, safety protocols, and overall infrastructure performance. The trial phase is designed to simulate real-world traffic conditions, allowing NHAI to identify and address potential issues before the full-scale opening on June 5. Upon completion, the tunnel and underpasses are expected to significantly alleviate congestion on the Delhi-Gurugram corridor, particularly along National Highway 48 (NH-48).
