With a aimed at bolstering commuter convenience and addressing public demand, the operational timings of Navi Mumbai’s metro line 1 services have been extended, effective from Monday onwards.
The decision, taken by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco), will see the commencement of the first train service from both Belapur and Pendhar stations at 6 am, with the last service departing from Belapur at 11 pm and from Pendhar at 10:30 pm, all days of the week. Despite the extension in timings, the frequency of train services, currently operational every 15 minutes, will remain unchanged. The move to extend the operational hours of the Navi Mumbai metro comes as a response to persistent public demand, particularly from commuters who rely on late-night services for their daily travel needs.
