Madhya Pradesh Launches Sawan Special Train Between Bhopal and Ujjain for Mahakal Devotees
Oriental Rail Infrastructure, a prominent Indian manufacturer, has secured two significant domestic orders totalling ₹11.48 crore from the Indian Railways’ Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Raebareli and the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. These contracts, focused on the manufacturing and supply of essential coach components, underscore Indian Railways’ ongoing commitment to modernising its fleet and enhancing passenger experience through indigenous capabilities.
This strategic procurement not only strengthens the domestic railway supply chain but also contributes to the broader vision of fostering sustainable and efficient public transportation networks across the nation, vital for equitable urban and rural connectivity. The first of these pivotal orders, valued at ₹9.03 crore, was awarded by the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Lalganj, Raebareli. This contract specifically entails the manufacturing and supply of 90 sets of seats and berths designed for LWSCN coaches, alongside 40 sets for LHB GS coaches. The meticulous delivery schedule for these components is set for completion by July 13, 2026, for the 90 sets, and by May 11, 2026, for the 40 sets. The payment terms for this order are straightforward, with 100% of the value disbursed upon the successful receipt, inspection, and final acceptance of the material by the consignee at the designated destination.
Complementing this, the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai placed the second order, valued at ₹2.45 crore. This contract focuses on the supply and installation of 32 sets of seats and berths specifically for LSCN/BW2 coaches. The execution timeline for this particular order extends until January 31, 2027. The payment structure for this second contract is phased: up to 90% of the supply portion will be released upon submission of the inspection certificate and provisional physical receipt, with the remaining 10% for the supply portion, along with 100% of the installation charges, being paid only after the material’s receipt and acceptance, contingent on an installation certificate issued by the competent authority.
Oriental Rail Infrastructure’s core business revolves around the manufacturing and supply of a diverse range of railway products and items for Indian Railways and other related industries.
