The Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express, effective from August 24, Western Railway has announced a change in the schedule for Train No. 22961. The revised timetable aims to optimise operational efficiency and improve connectivity for passengers.
Under the updated schedule, the Vande Bharat Express will now depart from Mumbai Central at 15:45, a shift from its previous departure time of 15:55. This adjustment will also affect subsequent stops along the route. The train is now set to arrive at Borivali at 16:10, ten minutes earlier than before. After a brief three-minute halt, it will depart Borivali at 16:13. The revised timings will also impact the train’s arrival at other key stations. It will reach Vapi at 17:40, an adjustment from the earlier time of 17:43. In Surat, the train will arrive at 18:38, which includes a five-minute stop, as opposed to the previous arrival time. Vadodara will be reached at 20:11, ahead of the earlier scheduled arrival of 20:16, and the final destination, Ahmedabad, will see an arrival time of 21:15, which is ten minutes earlier than the previously scheduled time.
Western Railway officials cited operational reasons for these timing adjustments. The modifications are designed to enhance the overall efficiency of the service and provide a smoother travel experience for passengers. The revised schedule is expected to facilitate better management of train operations and contribute to improved punctuality.
