Lemon Tree Hotels, a prominent player in India’s hospitality sector, has unveiled plans to expand its footprint in Mumbai with the signing of a new property. The forthcoming Lemon Tree Hotel, Mira Road, Mumbai, is set to enhance the company’s portfolio and meet the growing demand in the region. Managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, this new addition is anticipated to commence operations in the financial year 2026.
Situated in the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, the new hotel will be strategically located in Mira Road, a burgeoning suburb known for its blend of residential and commercial facilities. This area, while still evolving, benefits from excellent connectivity to the heart of Mumbai and offers a more affordable cost of living compared to central locations. Mira Road is increasingly becoming a preferred choice for both business and leisure travellers due to its convenient access to major transit routes and essential amenities.
The Lemon Tree Hotel, Mira Road, will feature 108 meticulously designed rooms, aiming to cater to both business and leisure guests. The property will offer a comprehensive suite of facilities, including a restaurant, a bar, a meeting room, a swimming pool, and a spa. These amenities are expected to cater to the diverse needs of travellers and set a new benchmark for hospitality in the area. The hotel’s location is well-positioned to serve visitors with its proximity to major transportation hubs. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is approximately 31 kilometres away, while Borivali Railway Station is about 13 kilometres from the property. This accessibility underscores the hotel’s strategic placement, ensuring convenience for guests travelling from various parts of Mumbai and beyond.
Speaking on this strategic expansion, the CEO of Managed & Franchise Business at Lemon Tree Hotels highlighted the significance of this new property. He noted that this addition aligns with the company’s vision to bolster its presence in Mumbai, complementing its existing five properties across upscale and midscale brands in the city. The new hotel will augment Lemon Tree Hotels’ portfolio in Maharashtra, which includes twelve operational hotels and two forthcoming properties. This development reflects Lemon Tree Hotels’ commitment to expanding its market presence and catering to the evolving needs of travellers in one of India’s most vibrant cities.
