Emirates, for instance, has commenced four weekly flights to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport utilizing its formidable Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Etihad Airways, bolstering its European footprint, initiated four weekly flights to Warsaw Chopin Airport on June 3, tapping into the burgeoning demand for seamless connectivity between the UAE and Poland. Flydubai has strategically launched daily flights to Antalya, Turkey, as of June 5, offering enhanced access to this highly sought-after Mediterranean leisure destination. Virgin Australia, notably backed by a 25% stake from Qatar Airways, is set to launch its inaugural flights to Doha, commencing June 12 from Sydney, followed by Brisbane on June 19, and Perth on June 26. These new services will be operated utilizing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft wet-leased from Qatar Airways, a strategic manoeuvre that deepens the partnership between the two carriers. On a global scale, major international airlines are also tapping into new frontiers. United Airlines recently launched its first-ever nonstop service to Nuuk, Greenland, from Newark Liberty International Airport, with twice-weekly flights commencing June 5, marking a significant milestone for Arctic connectivity.
