Mumbai Metro Line 11 To Connect Byculla Nagpada Bhendi Bazaar Soon

For decades, these neighbourhoods have faced near-constant gridlock, with vehicles crawling through narrow lanes from morning until late evening. Local transport experts say the congestion has worsened due to redevelopment without road widening, irregular parking, and a complete absence of mass rapid transit in the area. The new underground corridor will link major landmarks, including Sir JJ Hospital, Crawford Market, and Bhendi Bazaar, offering a high-capacity, zero-emission alternative to the chaotic road network.The project is expected to deliver significant sustainability benefits, cutting vehicle emissions and noise pollution while improving road safety.
