MRPL Donates Buses to Schools for Children with Special Needs

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRP) has donated school buses to two special schools in the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. These buses will significantly improve the daily commute of students attending Chethana Special School in Karkala, Udupi district, and Spoorthi Special School and Training Centre in Moodbidri, Dakshina Kannada district.

MRPL’s contribution of INR 5.41 lakh to procure dedicated vehicles for these schools reflects its dedication to promoting inclusive education and enhancing the wellbeing of children with special needs. This act of kindness underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to making meaningful contributions that uplift the lives of those in need.

Through its CSR initiatives, MRPL strives to address pressing social issues and improve the quality of life for marginalised communities. The company’s commitment to contributing positively to society aligns with its core values, ensuring that it remains an active participant in making a meaningful difference in the areas it serves.

This charitable act of donating school buses demonstrates that MRPL’s dedication to corporate social responsibility extends beyond the refinery and petrochemical sector. By providing these buses, MRPL has taken a significant step towards ensuring that special-needs children have equal access to education and  opportunities they deserve.
