MHADA Office in Bandra to Get a New Look

The MHADA headquarters in Bandra, Mumbai, is set for a major makeover with a beautification project worth ₹1.5 crore. The plan includes improvements to the building’s surroundings, adding green spaces, seating arrangements, and walking tracks. The project aims to create a better working environment for employees and a welcoming space for visitors.

The MHADA building, which has been standing since 1971, has served as the main office for housing development in Maharashtra. While regular maintenance has been carried out over the years, this is one of the biggest beautification efforts for the premises.

Officials have confirmed that the project will include landscaped gardens, flower plantations, and designated walking paths such as sand walking and table walking areas. Seating spaces will also be installed to enhance the outdoor experience for employees and visitors. Authorities have already approved the budget, and the tender process for selecting contractors will begin in the next few days.

The work is expected to be completed within four to five months. The initiative reflects MHADA’s commitment to maintaining a well-structured and aesthetically pleasing office environment while continuing its mission to provide affordable housing.

The redevelopment of the premises aligns with the broader goal of sustainable urban planning. Enhancing public office spaces with greenery and improved facilities not only boosts employee morale but also sets a benchmark for well-maintained government buildings. With work set to begin soon, the transformation of the MHADA office is expected to bring a refreshing change to the area.
