MHADA Nashik Launches Online Applications for 493 Affordable Homes

In a major initiative to provide affordable housing for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG), the Nashik Housing and Area Development Board, under the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), has launched the online application process for 493 homes under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme.

The announcement was made at a Go-Live event held at the board’s office, where Chairman Ranjan Thakre inaugurated the registration process. This initiative aims to make homeownership accessible for the underprivileged in the city, offering homes spread across various locations such as Makhmalabad Shivar, Satpur Shivar, Pathardi Shivar, and Vihitgaon Shivar. Out of the 493 homes, 291 units will be allotted through a general lottery system, while 202 units will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The applications for the lottery scheme can be made through the official website housing.mhada.gov.in, while applicants for the first-come, first-served basis must apply via lottery.mhada.gov.in.

Chairman Thakre emphasized the importance of applicants carefully reading the eligibility criteria and application guidelines provided in the official booklet released by MHADA. He also warned against fraudulent agents and clarified that MHADA has not authorized any representatives for the housing allocation process. The application window opened on February 8, 2025, at 2:30 PM, and will remain open until 5:00 PM on March 6, 2025. Applicants can make payments through online transactions until 11:59 PM on March 7. RTGS/NEFT transactions must be completed within banking hours on the same day. The final list of approved applicants will be published on March 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM on MHADA’s official website. This move is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to improve access to affordable housing for its citizens, providing a much-needed boost to low-income groups in the region.
