MHADA Konkan Board to Hold Lottery for 2,147 Flats and 110 Plots on February 5

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA)’s Konkan Housing and Area Development Board is set to conduct a computerized lottery for the allocation of 2,147 flats and 110 plots across Thane, Raigad, and Sindhudurg districts. The event will take place on February 5, 2025, at 1 PM at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Thane, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis officiating the ceremony, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.

This highly anticipated housing lottery has garnered an overwhelming response, with 24,911 applications received during the registration window, which opened on October 11, 2024, and closed on January 6, 2025. Applicants made earnest money deposits either online or via RTGS/NEFT by January 7, 2025. The Konkan Board’s Chief Officer, Reva Gaikar, revealed that flats and plots offered under the scheme are part of housing projects developed in key locations, including Thane city, Thane district, Raigad, and Sindhudurg, aiming to provide affordable housing options.

Transparency in the process remains a top priority. A provisional list of eligible applicants was published on January 20, 2025, at 6 PM, followed by a final list on January 24, 2025, after resolving objections and claims. On lottery day, results will be instantly communicated via SMS, email, and the MHADA lottery app, ensuring an efficient and fair allocation system. For details, applicants can visit MHADA’s official website or contact the Konkan Board office. This initiative aligns with MHADA’s commitment to making affordable housing accessible to all while maintaining a transparent allocation process.
