MahaCRITI Streamlining Real Estate with Technology

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has ushered in a new era of real estate regulation with the launch of its innovative portal, MahaCRITI (Maha-Complaint and Regulatory Integrated Technology Implementation). Officially launched on September 1, MahaCRITI is set to transform the regulatory landscape by enhancing efficiency and accessibility for users across the real estate sector.

Designed with a keen focus on user experience and technological advancement, MahaCRITI integrates cutting-edge technology to streamline regulatory processes. The platform boasts a user-friendly interface, which aims to simplify interactions between stakeholders—developers, real estate agents, and homebuyers—and the regulatory authority. This advanced portal facilitates a range of services including complaint filing, project registration, information updates, registration renewals, and progress reporting for ongoing projects. The initial response to MahaCRITI has been notably robust. Within the first few days of its launch, 2,766 users had updated their passwords to access the new system. Over 550 developers, 350 real estate agents, and more than 250 lawyers and complainants have engaged in online training sessions designed to familiarise them with the platform. Instructional videos and training resources are also available to assist users in navigating the new system effectively.

Since its debut, MahaCRITI has seen significant activity. Notably, 581 promoters have updated their project information, and 8 new housing projects have been registered. Additionally, 21 new registration applications and 6 renewal applications from real estate agents have been received, while 84 agents have updated their details. The platform has also been instrumental in facilitating homebuyer grievances, with 17 complaints filed through the system. The introduction of MahaCRITI signifies a major advancement in real estate regulation, aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency. By leveraging technology, MahaRERA is poised to enhance the regulatory process, making it more accessible and responsive to the needs of all stakeholders involved in the real estate
