Lucknow Launches India First Door to Door Rail Logistics Service
Lucknow has become the focal point of a landmark initiative by Indian Railways, with the inauguration of the country’s first door-to-door logistics service, operated by the Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). This move is aimed at modernising freight transport, enhancing operational efficiency, and offering unprecedented convenience to businesses and end-users across India.
The new service is part of Indian Railways’ broader push to expand multimodal logistics networks, reduce reliance on road transport, and lower carbon emissions associated with freight movement.
