Krystal Enters Wastewater Management with ₹19.62 Crore Contract
Krystal Integrated Services Limited (KISL), a Mumbai-based infrastructure services provider, has made its foray into the growing wastewater management and effluent treatment sector. The company has secured a significant ₹19.62 crore contract from the Tindivanam Pharma Park Association in Chennai. This move marks KISL’s entry into an industry that is gaining prominence due to increasing environmental regulations and the demand for sustainable water management solutions.
With a firm belief in the sector’s potential for both growth and profitability, KISL has set ambitious targets. The company aims to build an order book worth ₹1,000 crore in wastewater management within the next 18 months. To ensure successful implementation of its expansion, KISL has formed a highly skilled team of over 20 professionals who specialise in Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes. This team brings with it more than 200 years of combined experience from various industrial development corporations and the private sector, ensuring a depth of expertise in effluent treatment. Sanjay Dighe, CEO & Whole-time Director of KISL, expressed optimism about the company’s new direction, noting that wastewater management presents tremendous opportunities for sustainable growth in line with the increasing regulatory emphasis on environmental compliance. “This segment presents tremendous opportunities for sustainable and profitable growth,” he said, underlining how businesses are increasingly compelled to adopt efficient and eco-friendly wastewater management practices due to stringent environmental laws.
Krystal Integrated Services has been a key player in integrated facility management for years and has already established a solid reputation by serving 369 customers across 2,487 locations in India. The company plans to expand its wastewater management solutions to other industrial clusters across the country, where there is a high demand for waste treatment infrastructure. This expansion aligns with KISL’s overall strategy to tap into higher-margin, technology-driven operations, enabling the firm to position itself further up the value chain in integrated facility management. While KISL has been executing turnkey projects in wastewater management since 2019, the company formally entered this market at the beginning of the fiscal year 2025, setting the stage for significant growth. The contract with Tindivanam Pharma Park Association is just the beginning of KISL’s journey in wastewater management, with more projects expected to follow as the company aims to capitalise on the increasing focus on sustainability within the industrial sector.
For KISL, wastewater management not only presents an opportunity to diversify its service offerings but also aligns with the company’s long-term vision of contributing to environmental sustainability. As industries continue to grow, the demand for efficient wastewater treatment solutions will only increase, and KISL is well-positioned to meet this need with its highly skilled team and experience in handling complex infrastructure projects. This strategic expansion into wastewater management is a clear reflection of KISL’s commitment to addressing the environmental challenges faced by industries today. By embracing innovative solutions and sustainable practices, the company is poised to become a key player in the wastewater management sector, ensuring that its growth is not only profitable but also responsible.
