Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has secured a Letter of Award for an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a gas pipeline project in the United Arab Emirates, with the order classified as a major contract worth more than ₹4,000 crore.
The Mumbai-based EPC company disclosed the order to the BSE and NSE through a regulatory filing dated September 28, 2026. KPIL said the order was received in the normal course of business. The filing did not identify the client or provide details about the project’s location within the UAE, construction schedule or precise contract value.
The contract covers the engineering, procurement and construction of the gas pipeline project. KPIL’s classification of the order as “Major” indicates an estimated value exceeding ₹4,000 crore, but the company has not disclosed a more specific figure.
The announcement adds to KPIL’s international project portfolio across the oil and gas sector. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Manish Mohnot described the order as a testament to the company’s technical expertise and global scalability in the sector.
KPIL reported revenues of ₹27,143 crore in FY2026 and currently has more than 250 projects under execution across over 30 countries. The company said its global footprint extends across 75 nations. The UAE order therefore forms part of a broader overseas execution network rather than a standalone domestic infrastructure win.
The announcement did not include information on the project’s expected completion date, construction phases, procurement requirements, workforce deployment or the financial contribution expected from the contract. Those details will determine how the order affects KPIL’s execution pipeline and revenue recognition, but they were not available in the filing information supplied.
KPIL’s shares did not sustain their early gains after the announcement. On the NSE, the stock opened at ₹1,420 and reached an intraday high of ₹1,424.80 before trading lower. At 9.55 am, it was down 1.14 per cent at ₹1,375.30, compared with its previous close of ₹1,391.20. The sell side accounted for 58.16 per cent of traded quantity, while total traded value stood at ₹8.28 crore in early trade.
The company’s market capitalisation was ₹23,460.73 crore at the time of the reported market data. KPIL has not disclosed further project or client information beyond the Letter of Award and the order classification. The next material update is expected through the company’s regulatory disclosures as project details and execution milestones become available.
