Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) has secured new power transmission and distribution orders and a letter of comfort valued at about ₹2,031 crore in India and international markets, while its Swedish subsidiary has received an additional order worth approximately ₹194 crore.
The company disclosed the developments in an exchange filing on Tuesday. Together, the new awards are valued at around ₹2,225 crore and strengthen KPIL’s order position in the power transmission and distribution business.
The ₹2,031-crore package covers new orders and a letter of comfort for projects in India and overseas markets. KPIL did not provide further details in the statement on the individual locations, clients, project timelines or execution schedules for these awards.
The additional order has been secured by Linjemontage i Grastorp AB, a Sweden-based subsidiary of KPIL. The order is valued at approximately ₹194 crore. The company described the Swedish award as part of its international business, adding to its presence across multiple markets.
Manish Mohnot, managing director and chief executive officer of KPIL, said the company was benefiting from favourable industry conditions and its integrated engineering, procurement and construction capabilities in the transmission and distribution segment.
“Favourable industry tailwinds, paired with our end-to-end integrated EPC offerings in the T&D business, perfectly position us to sustain this growth going forward,” Mohnot said in the company’s statement.
Mohnot added that KPIL had secured orders valued at approximately ₹20,000 crore so far in the current financial year, referred to by the company as YTD FY27. According to his statement, this represented growth of more than 30 per cent year-on-year and gave the company confidence in achieving its targeted growth numbers.
The latest awards are relevant to the infrastructure sector because transmission and distribution projects form the network through which electricity is moved and delivered across markets. For KPIL, the announcement also indicates that its current order intake is spread across domestic and international operations rather than being concentrated in a single geography.
KPIL describes itself as one of the largest engineering, procurement and construction companies, with a global footprint spanning 75 countries. The company’s latest disclosure does not specify the expected revenue contribution, completion dates or margin profile of the newly announced orders.
The next disclosed milestone will be the execution of the announced orders and any further details the company provides on project locations, scope and timelines through regulatory filings or corporate updates.
