Kolkata Metro has announced a change in its Blue Line schedule for Sunday, November 24, 2024, with a total of 130 services being operated. This marks the beginning of trial services, where trains will start from Noapara instead of the usual Dumdum station for routes traveling towards Kavi Subhash.
The modified schedule will have the first service departing at 09:00 hrs from Noapara to Kavi Subhash. The shift is part of ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and enhance convenience for commuters. The last service will run at 21:40 hrs, with the final trains returning from Kavi Subhash to Dumdum according to the regular timings. Notably, the first service will include routes from Noapara to Kavi Subhash, Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar, Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash, and Noapara to Dakshineswar, while the last service will operate from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash, Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar, Noapara to Kavi Subhash, and Kavi Subhash to Dumdum. Commuters are advised to take note of this trial shift in starting stations to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience. This initiative is part of Kolkata Metro’s ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and enhance passenger convenience.
