He elaborated that such weather systems during the monsoon season are known to bring intense rainfall. The weather forecast predicts scattered showers for Kolkata until Friday, which may not be very significant. However, the persistent cloud cover is expected to keep temperatures in check, preventing any significant rise in mercury levels.
