Kochi Welcomes India’s First Ramada Hotel And Suites By Wyndham Opening 2026

Kochi is set to welcome India’s first Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham, scheduled to open by mid-2026 in the city’s growing Infopark IT corridor. The 69-room property marks Wyndham’s debut of this brand in India, targeting business travellers, IT professionals, and long-stay guests. Developed in partnership with Kerala-based AGA Hotels and Apartments, the hotel combines global hospitality standards with local market expertise, signalling a strategic expansion in South India’s urban and commercial hospitality sector.

The collaboration between Wyndham and AGA Hotels reflects a growing trend of international hotel chains aligning with regional partners to navigate local market dynamics. “Kochi’s IT and commercial landscape has created strong demand for extended-stay accommodation. Partnering with Wyndham allows us to deliver internationally recognised quality while addressing specific local needs,” said an official from AGA Hotels and Apartments. Industry analysts note that such partnerships are crucial in balancing global brand appeal with regional operational efficiency.Strategically positioned near Infopark, the hotel is poised to serve Kochi’s expanding IT and technology workforce, along with long-stay corporate guests. Urban development experts observe that integrating premium hospitality options within commercial corridors can enhance city competitiveness, support talent retention, and attract further corporate investment. The hotel’s location offers convenient access to major offices while remaining well-connected to broader city amenities, making it appealing for both short-term and extended stays.

Ramada Hotel & Suites Kochi will feature contemporary suites and modern rooms designed for long-stay comfort, supported by an all-day dining restaurant, meeting spaces, and a fitness centre. Hospitality professionals highlight that the rise of flexible, extended-stay offerings mirrors changing urban living and working patterns, particularly for professionals seeking accommodation that blends home-like amenities with productivity-focused facilities. The Kochi project strengthens Wyndham’s expansion in South India, complementing its 92 hotels in the Eurasia region and 52 under development. A Wyndham executive said, “Kochi presents an ideal opportunity for the Ramada brand, particularly for business and long-stay guests. Collaborating with AGA enhances our presence in emerging commercial markets across India.” This move underscores Wyndham’s long-term commitment to urban and commercial hubs beyond India’s primary gateway cities.

Urban planners note that the entry of international hotel brands in secondary cities like Kochi can promote sustainable urban growth, elevate service standards, and generate equitable economic opportunities. By providing extended-stay accommodation that blends flexibility, quality, and modern design, Ramada Kochi could set benchmarks for sustainable, inclusive, and business-oriented hospitality in the region.Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Kochi Infopark represents a significant milestone for Wyndham in India, aligning its brand portfolio with evolving business travel trends and supporting the city’s emergence as a commercial and IT hub.
