Kanpur is set to witness a major boost in its railway infrastructure as the North Central Railway has proposed the construction of a brand-new railway station on the heavily trafficked Delhi-Howrah route. The station will be developed in the Juhi yard area, currently used for storing railway racks and equipment, and will serve as a dedicated coaching terminal, significantly easing pressure on the congested Kanpur Central Station.
