Indian Railways has introduced a special train service connecting Pune and Danapur via Jabalpur.
This initiative aims to provide commuters with additional travel options and ease congestion on regular trains. The Pune-Danapur special train, designated as Train No. 01417, is scheduled to depart from Pune on 28 May and 1 June at 19:55 hours. The train will traverse key stations including Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, and Ara, before reaching Danapur at 07:30 hours on the third day.
The return journey, Train No. 01418, will depart from Danapur on 30 May and 3 June at 08:30 hours. It will make stops at the aforementioned stations and is expected to arrive in Pune at 17:35 hours the following day. To accommodate the diverse needs of passengers, the special train comprises a mix of AC, sleeper, and general coaches. This composition ensures that travellers have access to both reserved and unreserved seating options, catering to varying preferences and budgets.
The introduction of this summer special train is part of Indian Railways’ broader strategy to enhance connectivity and provide relief to passengers during the high-demand summer months. By offering additional services and diversifying travel options, the railways aim to make train travel more accessible and comfortable for all.
