IndiGo, India’s largest low-cost airline, has announced the commencement of daily direct flights between Adampur, located in Punjab’s Jalandhar district, and Mumbai, starting July 2, 2025.
This new route aims to enhance connectivity between the financial capital and northern India, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The introduction of this service marks a significant milestone for Adampur, as it becomes IndiGo’s 92nd domestic and 133rd overall destination. The airline will operate a 186-seater aircraft on this route, ensuring daily connectivity for passengers.
This direct flight is expected to bolster regional trade, tourism, and educational exchanges between Punjab and Maharashtra. By reducing travel time significantly compared to other modes of transport, the service facilitates easier access to Mumbai’s business hubs and cultural landmarks. In related developments, IndiGo has also introduced connecting flights from Nagpur to Manchester and Amsterdam via Mumbai, further expanding its international network. Additionally, the airline is set to become the first to launch commercial flights from the new Navi Mumbai airport, with over 18 daily flights scheduled.
Passengers traveling from Adampur to Mumbai are advised to check their flight status regularly, as weather conditions on the eastern coast may cause slight delays. IndiGo recommends arriving at the airport well in advance and staying updated through their official channels.
