IndiGo Airlines has unveiled an ambitious winter schedule, including eight new flights and increased frequencies on several key routes. This expansion is designed to enhance connectivity, particularly in underserved regions like the North-East, while aligning with the airline’s broader focus on sustainable growth.
Starting October 29, 2024, IndiGo will launch direct flights between Agartala and Dibrugarh three times a week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This new route will significantly improve travel options between two major North-Eastern cities, facilitating regional business and economic growth. Alongside this, IndiGo will introduce direct flights between Guwahati and Dimapur, further enhancing regional connectivity. The airline will also resume daily flights between Guwahati and Ahmedabad from December 10, 2024, strengthening the vital link between the North-East and Gujarat for both business and tourism. IndiGo is also expanding its international network, increasing the frequency of flights on the popular Kolkata-Bangkok route. Starting November 24, 2024, flights between Kolkata and Bangkok will operate four times a week—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—to meet growing demand from business and leisure travellers.
The airline’s expansion strategy also places sustainability at the forefront. IndiGo is committed to minimising its environmental footprint by deploying newer, fuel-efficient aircraft on these routes, contributing to the industry’s shift towards more sustainable aviation.
