India’s Largest EV Expo Returns to Pune, Driving Innovation and Collaboration

The sixth edition of the India International EV Show (IIEV) is set to take place from 6-8 December 2024 at Pune’s Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre, establishing itself as the nation’s largest platform for electric vehicle advancements. Organised by the Futurex Group, the IIEV Expo promises to bring together over 200 exhibitors from five countries, featuring a wide range of electric mobility solutions, advanced charging infrastructure, and smart transportation technologies. This year’s event expects to attract more than 20,000 visitors, including industry professionals, stakeholders, and technology enthusiasts, all keen to explore cutting-edge advancements and network with industry leaders.

Director of Futurex Group expressed excitement about returning to Pune, noting the show’s growth and impact on India’s EV sector. The IIEV Expo 2024 is supported by key industry organisations like the Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV), the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), and the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA). These partnerships ensure that the event remains a central hub for knowledge sharing and collaboration, supporting the country’s electric mobility goals and climate resilience objectives. The Futurex director emphasised that the event serves as a vital platform for fostering innovation and encouraging cross-industry partnerships to accelerate India’s transition to electric mobility.

The 6th IIEV Expo will not only feature an extensive array of exhibits but also host over 10 seminars and panel discussions, addressing topics critical to the EV industry, such as advances in battery technology, energy storage solutions, and the development of nationwide charging infrastructure. Industry leaders are expected to unveil over 25 new products, marking the event as a milestone in India’s EV journey. These discussions and product launches signal a transformative period for India’s electric vehicle market, which saw sales surpassing 1.7 million units in 2024. According to market analysis, India’s EV sales are expected to rise by 66% in 2025, driven by government incentives and increased consumer interest.
