India Samsung Launches Proactive Summer Care Campaign
Samsung India has rolled out its Proactive Summer Care Campaign, an early-season service initiative for home cooling and refrigeration appliances that offers customers significant discounts on maintenance ahead of the high-demand summer months. Running from 4 February to 15 March 2026, the campaign aims to drive preventive servicing for air conditioners (ACs) and refrigerators — equipment that is critical to comfort, energy use and household resilience in India’s rising temperatures.
Under the programme, customers can access up to 50 per cent off on select service components, including labour charges, pick-up and delivery, and specialised jet cleaning for AC units. Additional savings include discounts on gas charging, spare parts and accessories, as well as reduced prices on extended maintenance packs and Samsung Store+ purchases.Industry analysts say that beyond short-term savings, such campaigns reflect a broader shift in consumer electronics companies toward service-centric business models in India’s burgeoning cooling appliance market. As average household ownership of ACs and refrigerators increases with urbanisation and income growth, annual maintenance has become a key factor in product performance and lifecycle cost — a dynamic that also intersects with energy efficiency and peak electricity demand management.
