India Leads Global Dialogue on Plastic Recycling

Mumbai recently hosted the 10th edition of the Eliteplus Global Signature Summit, marking a significant milestone in India’s rigid plastics sector. Held on June 12–13, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre, the summit attracted over 1,000 delegates from more than 450 organisations across 10 countries. Supported by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India, the event underscored India’s growing leadership in sustainable plastics and circular economy initiatives.

The summit featured over 60 presentations, 10 business sessions, and 5 panel discussions, covering topics such as sustainable moulding, PET innovations, recycling technologies, pricing dynamics, EPR strategies, and circular economy enablers. Industry leaders and policymakers engaged in meaningful dialogues, exploring solutions to pressing challenges in the rigid plastics sector. A highlight of the summit was the keynote address by H.E. Honourable Dr. Deepak Vohra, Ambassador and Policy Adviser, who delivered “The Jamvant Effect – Bharat is Unstoppable,” receiving a standing ovation from the audience. This address resonated with the attendees, reinforcing India’s commitment to sustainable development and innovation in the plastics industry.

The event also featured a dedicated exhibition area with over 60 booths, showcasing the latest advancements in machinery, automation, sustainable additives, moulding systems, and recycled materials. This provided participants with opportunities to explore cutting-edge technologies and forge new partnerships. Nidhi Verma, Founder & MD of ElitePlus Business Services, emphasised that the summit strengthened India’s position as a global leader in the rigid plastics industry. She highlighted the event’s role in fostering cross-border collaborations, technology exchange, and meaningful dialogue between policymakers and industry leaders.

The 10th edition of the Eliteplus Global Signature Summit not only showcased India’s advancements in the rigid plastics sector but also highlighted the nation’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
