Himachal Pradesh, while the monsoon will remain weak on Saturday, the state has already suffered significant damage. Cloudbursts in various parts have damaged more than 1,000 homes, leaving hundreds of people homeless, and reports indicate 105 lives lost due to rain-related incidents. Rajasthan, flood-like conditions have emerged in several districts. Ajmer witnessed large parts of the city submerged on Friday, turning streets into water bodies, and both Ana Sagar Lake and Varun Sagar Lake are overflowing. Flood-like conditions are also reported in Pushkar, with vehicles submerged. Schools have been closed in Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Ajmer, Bundi, and Rajsamand due to a heavy rain warning; an orange alert is in place for six districts, and a yellow alert for eight others. The state has seen 23 rain-related deaths in the past four days.
Gujarat, continuous heavy rainfall has been lashing Banaskantha district, worrying farmers. While initial showers brought relief, the prolonged downpour now threatens seasonal crops like peanuts and other staples, with fears of root rot and yield damage. Bihar, no rain is expected on Saturday, potentially leading to a temperature rise of up to 3°C and increased humidity, causing discomfort for residents. Lightning strikes have become a serious concern, claiming over 25 lives recently across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh, with Bihar alone reporting 33 deaths in the past two days.
