Despite persistent appeals from commuters, the road has languished in disrepair for over two months, exacerbating traffic congestion and safety hazards in the area. The junction in question serves as a pivotal thoroughfare, witnessing heavy vehicular movement throughout the day, leading to frequent traffic snarls even during off-peak hours. Notably, recent drainage works conducted by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) along the main road have further exacerbated the road’s dilapidated state.
